Psychological

The Importance of assessing and managing the employees psychological well-being is emphasised by the fact that mental ill health including stress, anxiety and depression are the most common cause of long-term absence amongst employees

The good health of employees is a primary requirement for their effective performance at work. Psychological well-being is as important to employees as good physical health, and without a healthy, effective and efficient workforce your business will not function effectively.

TPN has over 800 therapists throughout the county who come from a number of disciplines and specialities, and the employee is matched with an appropriate therapist following an initial telephone-triage.

TPN can deliver Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), dependent on the patients needs, in three ways, via face to face sessions, telephonically (including skype) or online via an interactive computer based programme. All programmes are delivered in line with NICE guidelines with our practitioners working together with an employee to:

  1. Develop an understanding of the issues.
  2. Identify how these affect through thought, behaviour, feelings and daily function.
  3. Identify goals.
  4. Agree a treatment plan.

CBT is one of a broad range of psychotherapies and is an effective treatment option for many with mental health problems; in particular those with depressions, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) and anxiety.

We are able to offer training courses to individuals and groups of employees tailored to the clients specific needs but can include, coping with stress, work-life balance, work-place bullying and major incident de-briefing

Our well-being days can be an extremely effective way of showing the companies caring and nurturing side. These can include relaxation classes, counselling, nutritionist, massage therapy, physiotherapy and podiatry and exercise advice.
